The May issue of Forbes Magazine spotlights some of Romania’s most influential women — and among those featured is OvidiuRo’s cofounder Leslie Hawke. At the award ceremony Monday night, she accepted the “Award for Excellence in Education” on behalf of the 22 women at OvidiuRo who have made OvidiuRo one of the most respected NGOs in the country.

KeepCalling supports again Fiecare Copil in Gradinita in 2014 with a $4000 donation. At the same time, many of the KeepCalling employees decided to support early education by directing their 2% of the income tax to OvidiuRo.

181 extremely impoverished children from Valcele comuna (Araci and Hetea villages), Covasna county, benefit of early education through Fiecare Copil în Grădiniță program. This week, the Araci Kindergarten was equipped with furniture and toys, and the families received clothes and shoes from Never Give Up organization. 20 German donors came to personally meet the children and their parents. The event was also attended by Consul Mrs. Ramona Chiriac from the Romanian General Consulate in Munich.

The classrooms from Nou village were transformed into medical examination rooms for a couple of days 27 medicine school students from the Carol Davila of University Bucharest , accompanied by 12 medical specialists , offered free consultations to the people in the village.
