City Hall hires its first health mediator

Four health mediators completed SASTIPEN’S NGO training course so they can help improve the health of their community members. They will frequently check on the families and inform the doctor about any issues so he can then take the necessary measures to keep the community as healthy as possible. Nicoleta from Intorsura Buzaului is the first one to be employed by a local community. Nicoleta is 22 and the mother of a three-year old girl. She is the only female from her village of Floroaia Mica, who had the educational qualification (10th grade ) required of health mediators.

We hope that starting January 2014 Gabriela from Hetea will also be hired.
