Success Stories

We would like to introduce some of the people whose lives have been affected by Ready, Willing & Able, and who are, themselves, inspirations:

Alex, 11, spent most of his childhood in an orphanage or begging on the streets, but is now a cheerful second-grade student.

Doinita, 39,widowed mother of eight, through the help of the mother's job training program now works for the city and has moved out of her decrepit shack.  

Monica, 28, once destitute, has a job, an apartment and two sons now in school.

Narcisa, 25, with two young daughters, now works as a teachers assistant and is a candidate for a high school equivalency diploma.

Vladiana, 8, began school in the fall of 2003.

Vladut, 5, once about to follow his brother to spend a life begging on the streets in now in kindergarten.

Claudiu, 12, had lived in parks, bus stops and improvised shelters with his family until Ovidiu Rom assisted them.
