The primary beneficiary of The Alex Fund is the Fiecare Copil in Școală (“Every Child in School”) program, managed by Asociatia Ovidiu Rom, a certified Romanian charity. This is a long-term integrated strategy to eradicate school abandonment caused by poverty. Ovidiu Rom works to get impoverished children into kindergarten by age 5 so they have a chance of keeping up with their better prepared peers. Family support and parent incentives for children’s attendance and achievement are cornerstones of our strategy.
