The First Medical Caravan in 2019 reached Stana village, Satu Mare

On March 16, 2019, OvidiuRo organised, together with Caravana cu Medici NGO, the Paediatric and Women’s Health Caravan in the village of Stana, Socond, in Satu Mare County. For one day, 137 children and 87 women received free consultations for the specialties: paediatrics, radiology, ophthalmology, dentistry, gynaecology and oncology.

A total of 52 specialist doctors, primary doctors, residents and students at Iuliu Haţieganu University of Medicine and Pharmacy Cluj-Napoca have volunteered for this action.

The children were measured, weighed, clinically consulted and had abdominal ultrasounds. All received ophthalmic and dental care, and also received a toothbrush and a toothpaste.
Women got gynaecological examinations, Babeş-Papanicolau tests, mammary ultrasound and fetal morphology, as appropriate.

Following investigations, the most frequently discovered in children were rhino-pharyngitis and respiratory virosis, parasitosis and stature-weight deficits. In women, the results of the mammary ultrasounds were mostly within normal limits, and the results of the Babeş-Papanicolau exam will be analysed in the next period.
