How the Medical Caravan in Budila went

This weekend we were in Budila, along with our partners from <a href=”http://www.ssmb.ro/departamente/scoph/impreuna-pentru-sanatatea-rurala/” target=”_blank”>Împreună pentru Sănătatea Rurală</a>.  During the two days of medical caravan, 197 children and adults were consulted.  Most of them had never seen a doctor before.
The majority of the children’s problems are caused by poor nutrition (rich in carbohydrates, inappropriate food) and poor hygiene. In many of these cases intestinal parasites and phimosis were identified. There were more serious cases, so parents were advised to hospitalise the children for further investigations.  Since the health component is supported by <a href=”http://gsk.ro/home.aspx” target=”_blank”>GlaxoSmithKline</a> we will be able to help the parents do it.
